Julep: Katie & KleanColor: Chunky Holo Purple

Hello, dolls. Without too much rambling let's go ahead and start off with two coats of Julep's Katie:

The formula was a little thick, but otherwise I didn't have any problems with this fuchsia beauty.

Such a deep, intense color! I've been in a mood to play around lately, though, so...

Topped her off with one coat of KleanColor Chunky Holo Purple... because I never use them so why not?

Like every other time it took forever for CHP to dry so I topcoated and waited a couple of hours before doing anything dangerous. Like sleep.

Yep, just a quick one today. I think I woke up too early. I'll be back next month with some cute glitter and fairly failed stamping. Y'all take care out there and I'll see ya soon! (^_^)"/"

China Glaze: Side-Saddle & LA Colors: Sparkling Diamond

*falls into the room* Hey guys... *snores*.... >_> I was putzing around the iheartradio app and found a station for "lucid dreaming music" and thought "Well, why don't we give this a shot?" and, well... the reason is that I have a hard time actually falling asleep with music, tv, movies going on in the background. My brain wants to hear it. Video games, for some reason, have the opposite effect. Music, though... I dunno, man. I'm going to give it a couple of weeks to see if I can get used to it (people can get used to anything with enough exposure) so bear with me if I go a little insane in the meantime. I'm so sleepy...

*ahem* While perusing head2toebeauty for stuff to search for on Swagbucks I kept coming across the Rodeo Diva collection. The more I see it the more I like it and... I put a few on my amazon wishlist..... *looks innocent* Side-Saddle was particularly cheap so I went ahead and ordered it.

Two coats, quick drying. Loving the rich color and sparkle.

Can I stop forgetting how amazing China Glaze is and get more of these? XD Seriously, just look at that shimmer!!

So, I ran into this problem now where my unworn glitters aren't really looking like they'd pair well with the other unworns I have sitting out.... but I think Side-Saddle and Sparkling Diamond look okay together.

Yeah? This is one coat; no fishing and naturally applied. Very nice. *thumbs up*

Up next I've got Julep Katie paired with an oldie-but-okayee glitter and some stamping... followed by... something... I will have another Norma And Lizzy Double Feature coming up soon, so that's exciting. Oops, almost time to feed the cats. Hope everyone is doing well and having fun and staying safe and all that good stuff. See y'all soon! (^_^)"/"

Ulta: Sun-Sational & #SBBNailChallenge - 4 - Yellow

So, I was sitting around thinking about things and stuff and decided to go ahead and do a yellow mani for the #SBBNailChallenge. I went through my stash page and pulled up links for all of my yellows... it didn't take long. As I was clicking through I happened to notice that Ulta Sun-Sational didn't get a proper swatching! I only wore it on my toes. So... here ya go:

Two coats, decent dry time... a little sheer, but since I was only using it as a base I didn't mind too much. I also did this:

Quick accent with LA Colors Sparkling Diamond (which I will be full swatching next) actually looks way cuter over the yellow than I expected; but that's not what this post is about. Nope. We're here for the #SBBNailChallenge! Yellow.

I really hope you can see that. lol I started with the Sun-sational base and stamped with essence Happy and a couple Bundle Monster plates I forgot to get pictures of again... >_> Yeah, I totally suck at this. lol

Ka-chick! I kinda feel like I'm cheating a little with all the stamping I'm doing for these challenges, but... I'm getting good at it!! So pardon my excitement. ;)

Up next I have some China Glaze and glitter (and more stamping) followed by Julep... so they don't pile up. 'Til then I'll be here reading my book and swagging my poor little fingers to the bone to fund my addiction. It's an ongoing thing... Y'all take care out there and I'll see you again in a couple of days! (^_^)"/"

Color Club: Peace, Love & Polish & Daydream Believer

Hello, dolls. As I mentioned before I've been going through some things and stuff this past week and there's nothing quite like a neon polish to help perk a girl up. Perfect time to try out Peace, Love & Polish!

Love! Peace, Love & Polish comes off as a sort of light watermelony pink with yellow-gold shimmer and dries to a matte finish. This is two coats over white.

So bright! Not quite eye-searing, but a very nice neon regardless.

When neon alone isn't quite the mood-lifter you'd hoped... glitter!

Daydream Believer is packed full of metallic bright blue and matte white hex glitters. This is one coat applied naturally and finished with topcoat.

Such a cute combination. *hearts*

Up next I'll have another #SBBNailChallenge post for you. Hopefully you can see it, because... I had a little trouble capturing my subtle stamping... *sigh* For now, though, I have to put on pants. KarenD's recent display post convinced me I need to check my Ulta's essence display. Keep an eye on my Instagram for the results of that endeavor. That'll be up no later than noon my time (GMT -6) so if you don't see anything by then... I failed. lol *ahem* Also, I need to run to the bank. So... yeah. Y'all take care out there! (^_^)"/"

Zoya: Tris & Sinful Colors: Devil's Stare

Hello, lovelies! It's been a rough couple of days... Even so I did manage to wear Tris! Which was actually really easy to do.

Tris has an amazing formula! A bit thin so two coats required, but they dried so quickly!! Also, almost no cleanup! Absolutely fantastic. And since it was easy enough to do...

Topped with two coats of Devil's Stare. I'm assuming this was from a Halloween display? Devil's Stare is a red jelly base with little hex glitters and little flakies. Actually has a nice Autumnal vibe to it.

Yep, kind of a quickie. Need to get back to makin' that money, because....

Julep went and roped me in with chromes again... I'm such a sucker for chrome. Fortunately Julep offered me a "thanks for sticking with us so long" bonus of being able to customize my box for the same $20 price as the pre-curated boxes. Whippee! So I went ahead and added Pisces, the fourth chrome and... to qualify for the free gift I went ahead and threw on a $5 "mystery" polish... I do hope the "mystery" has a name this time... >_> So, yeah, now I have to come up with $43 to cover this descent into madness.

That's all for now. Up next will be those neon Color Clubs followed by yet another #SBBNailChallenge. I finally had inspiration for yellow. Woohoo! Hope y'all are all okay out there. Take care! (^_^)"/"

Sinful Colors: Curry Up & #SBBNailChallenge - 11 - Animal Print

Normally I try to split these up to avoid those long titles, but... it's been a long day and I'm lucky I remembered at all. So. Yes. Starting off with two coats of the very interesting Sinful Colors Curry Up:

Isn't that interesting? Curry Up is this wasabi green with a pink shimmer. In the bottle from certain angles it looks like there's also a blue shimmer, and you can kind of see that in the shade-glare below:

Very cool. Now... I don't understand the green with curry? I've only ever seen yellow curry. Anybody?

I wasn't entirely sure what I was going to do with this, but then my new Bundle Monster plates arrives and I knew exactly what I was going to do!

*makes snake hissing noises* Now... I was going to do something a smidge different and that's why the snake eye from plate BM-S151 is stamped with Zoya Shawn and the scales from plate BM-215 are stamped with Zoya Hunter... I was going to double-stamp the scales to create depth, but the difference between Shawn and Hunter just wasn't pronounced enough. *sigh* Oh! If you're noticing the sparkle, that's ILNP My Private Rainbow. *love*

Ka-chick! So much fun. I want to do the "inspired by a favorite piece of clothing", but I actually don't remembering seeing that shirt during my laundry binge.... *cries* I'll figure something out...

So... was having a bit of a time and decided I needed something happy and fun and bright. So Tris has been put off again. Instead I've got some neon goodness (and glitter!) for you next time. Then Tris. Promise. She's sitting right here waiting patiently. Also, Norma has just informed me that Pisces is now available. Not a color I would have chosen for the sign, which concerns me for future signs, but... I'm not a Pisces so it could make perfect sense. I will order it just as soon as I'm able to cash out my Swagbucks. Yep. I'm committed. Gonna get 'em all. It... It's gonna happen.

Anyway (now that I'm here I can't shut up all of a sudden) uhm... yes. Some neon Color Clubs coming up followed by Tris and another SC glitter. Flakie? It looks like it might have both.... *ahem* Hope everyone is doing well. Y'all take care and I'll see you soon! (^_^)"/"

ILNP: Bishop

Just got back from the Deadpool movie. *thumbs up* Hilarious. Now that that's out of the way - ILNP Bishop!

This is two coats of Bishop over black. I expected Bishop to be much more yellow... although I guess it does kind of look more yellow in the shade.

Bishop shifts between this sort of antique yellow-ish gold to green to green-blue? Here's what ilnp.com says, "Bishop is a uniquely regal Ultra Chrome that shifts from a refined gold to a light olive-green. You may even notice subtle hints of greyish blue in the right lighting conditions". There. Video!

There it is.

Coming up next I'll have a Sinful Color swatch and a #SBBNailChallenge!! I'm totally loving it. Still no word on Julep Pisces which is starting to concern me... I think next I'm going to... go with Zoya Tris. Why not? Hope everyone's having a fantastic year so far. See you soon! (^_^)"/"

Zoya: Serenity & Sinful Colors: Love Bombs

Hey, guys! A little late today, but better late than never! My untried queue is getting a bit long so I really need to keep on top of this. ;)

Starting off with two coats of Zoya Serenity which is downright delicious!

Super creamy consistency, gorgeous purple color... little slow to dry and I did get some tipwear after a couple of days, but omg the color...

Definitely one of my favorite purple creams.

Of course I can't leave a simple cream unglittered (well, I can...) so I topped it off with one coat of Sinful Colors Love Bombs:

Love Bombs is a "Limited Time" polish... for Valentine's Day, I would assume. It's got a crazy smattering of teeny silver, tiny red and small pink hex glitters... plus some blue hearts, but I couldn't manage to dig any of those out. The base looks like it's ever-so-slightly tinted pink.

So there's that.

Up next I will have ILNP Bishop!!! It's not what I was expecting, but it's still gorgeous. Trying to figure out which of these I'm going to wear next... as soon as I have time! OMG I've got a lot of clothes I can't find so I'm going on a mass-laundry binge (and purge) this weekend. It really needs to be done. For those of you waiting on packages from me: I swear I will get right on that. In the meantime, y'all take care out there! (^_^)"/" Love you guys!

Manic Panic: Deep Purple Dream & Matching Mani

Sorta matching. So I dyed my hair and got myself pretty for pics...

I just have to say again how amazing Manic Panic is. It doesn't stain as well as the Splat color, but since Manic Panic is vegan and made with plant extracts and stuff it's like a deep conditioning mask when you use it. Since I bleached my hair twice prior to dying it was in pretty bad shape and now it's much much better. Not what anyone would call "healthy", but better.

Deep Purple Dream is absolutely gorgeous. Bright and colorful, like a crayon purple. There are some fuchsia undertones that are starting to show through more since I washed it. Fortunately I have back up tub (and may grab another) in case it starts looking too wonky.

To go with my hair, and satisfy a craving for sparkles and texture, I dug out Zoya Carter and Liberty:

I've had this on for a few days... Hopefully I can find time to fix that today.

Up next I'll have that Zoya and SC I mentioned last time. Wanted to get the hair up before it became old news and I didn't feel like talking about it. I think I'm going to take a nap before starting on the dishes... Hope everyone's having a great week. See ya soon! (^_^)"/"

Julep: Brenna

Yep, just one today, but Brenna glows in the dark, so... that's fun!

As per the results of my trials over the years I did wear Brenna over white to produce the best glow. This is two coats over essence Wild White Ways:

Brenna is a sheer blue with a blue-purple duochrome shimmer. The shimmer!

Isn't that pretty? I didn't get Brenna for her shimmer, though. I got her because she glows in the dark. How well did that work out?

Eh... I would have liked to see a blue glow, but I guess that's difficult to achieve? The glow isn't exceptionally strong (I fiddled with the contrast a bit to get this pic to show up) and doesn't really last, but it's novel and I still like it.

Okay, so up next I have a Zoya and more SC glitters. Then.... who knows.... I'm having a hard time deciding again. Actually... I think I just got an idea. hehehehehe It's gonna be pretty. Alrighty, hope everyone is staying safe and warm. It's starting to get chilly here in Texas again. (yes, 58F/14.4C is chilly lol) So, yeah, y'all take care out there and I'll see you again in a couple of days! (^_^)"/"

Essie: Hip-Tide & Sinful Colors: Pink Ansen

You'd think I'd be knocking down the number of untrieds I have sitting out, but... it just isn't working that way. Between sales and cheapies and a massive amazon binge... they're adding up again. *oops* So today we're doing one that's been sitting around forever and pairing that with a recent glitter... because I just can't seem to stop buying glitter polishes.

First up! Three coats of essie Hip-Tide. Three coats for opacity, but since Hip-Tide is a matte it did dry very quickly.

It does look like I have a bit of VNL/PDL going on in that picture, but it wasn't as noticeable in real life. Definitely looks better in the shade.

Hip-Tide has this nice pink shimmer that you could bring out more with clear topcoat. You'll notice it more peeking out from under the glitter.

Can you see it? Also... do you see it?! Pink Ansen, to me, has some weird yellow splotchiness in it?

I don't know what that's all about. This is one coat, plus topcoat. I can't say I'm a huge fan, but... maybe I'll figure out something to do with it.

Up next I will have Brenna - another glow-in-the-dark offering from Julep. I'm about to throw this Manic Panic Deep Purple Dream {---link to the Pinterest page} on my hair and figure out which polish is going to have the distinction of moving to the front of the line. I have some ideas, but I want to see how the hair turns out. New colors! Keep an eye on my Instagram @scorpiolizzy for first peeks at that. Okay, shower time! Y'all take care out there and I'll see you around! (^_^)"/"

Milani: Tattle Teal & Sinful Colors: Feeling Lucky?

Yep, I've picked up a few glitters lately. Also, photobucket seems to be having some problems, so hopefully you can see the pictures.

Tattle Teal caught my eye when I found it on sale at Walgreens. It's a simple cream, but the color!!

omg The color! Vibrant green-tinted blue cream. The formula is amazing! Applied so easily and dried quickly, too.

I'm not super thrilled that the bottle doesn't match the rest of my Milanis, but... I'll probably get more anyway. *thumbs up*

I know it's not March yet, but hopefully if I get this out there soon enough y'all will be able to find Sinful Colors' latest St Patrick's Day glitter polish Feeling Lucky?.

Lookit that! Unlike the cute-but-not-quite-right flower glitters in last year's Shamrockin'; Feeling Lucky? has shamrock glitters!

There aren't many and I had to fish (extensively) for that one, but they are in there. Also included are some teeny metallic green glitters and small matte mint glitters.

Still have plenty of pictures in my folder and plenty of #SBBNailChallenge prompts left to do. Hope y'all hang around with me for 'em! (^_^)"/"
